Victoria Stone

Victoria Stone immigrated from St. Albans, England as a child.  Her deep conviction that “nothing is static, permanent or solid” is influenced by extensive travel during her youth.  This perception manifests itself in her artwork as a kind of engaging fluidity.  Several of her recent works represent the female form “pressed against a background of the abstract.”  Through her artwork, Victoria challenges the observer to a deeper awareness of our own paradoxical condition; “being human inside abstract illusions of time, space, and culture.”  She works predominantly in oils and acrylics but has produced works in wide range of mediums.  Victoria completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences, and has studied photography, sculpture, decorative design, mosaic tile making, and stained glass.
