Mark Kosatsky, born in Winnipeg in 1953, has been painting since 1984. His work has been displayed in Manitoban art galleries for nearly twenty years. Throughout his childhood Mark enjoyed drawing and sketching. Mark pursued and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Winnipeg, majoring in Art History. Most of his work is done in an expressive style using acrylic, watercolour, gouache, pencil, ink, and pastels. His stylistic approach is influenced by expressionism, surrealism and post-impressionism. Mark approaches his art with extreme perseverance and dedication. For Mark, art is a lifeline and outlet through which he can express himself.
