Kathleen V Crosby was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada and currently resides there. She began painting professionally in 2007 and has been a prolific artist since then. She is a passionate, self-taught and a contemporary acrylic painter, painting primarily colourful abstract works on large canvasses.
Kathleen is an alumni of Artbeat Studio incorporated and has had her canvas paintings displayed in multiple group exhibitions, including the Manitoba Society of Artists juried exhibition on two separate occasions. She has had many private commissions for her paintings and in 2013 was honoured to be commissioned by The Health Science Center (Winnipeg) C.R.C. to paint a public triptych for the foyer which is 11 feet in total width. In 2011, Kathleen was awarded a grant by the Manitoba Arts Council to produce 20 large canvas paintings, in which she completed. In October of 2013, she displayed 36 paintings in her solo exhibit “Beauty by the Brushstroke” which was located at Pulse Gallery. Her works are in private collections across Canada and the US. She also, volunteers at Studio Central (community outreach), teaching workshops.
Kathleen is inspired by life, love, nature, music and spirituality. She enjoys inspiring others to live to their full potential and follow their dreams. She is currently working at her exchange district studio and she sells her works privately and out of Pulse Gallery in the Johnston terminal and Art gallery of South Western Manitoba, in Brandon.
