James Adamson

James Adamson is a Winnipeg based visual artist whose work combines elements of the
imaginary, architecture and design. He is also a writer publishing his work in novels and
books of poetry. Working prolificaly he makes art that covers a vast range from architecture
drawing to figurative paintings.

As a Graduate of Environmental Design in Architecture (University of Manitoba) the large
scale works exhibited here combine the imaginary with floor plans and prototypes.

James Adamson received the Artbeat Studio residency in 2005 where he worked with
a variety of mediums, from paint to clay. James has also been a recipient of several
Manitoba Arts Council Grants and continues to create large bodies of artwork.
